Harbinger Moon

"They say tonight is the brightest moon we'll get in a while."

Crawling through the bushes
dirt climbing under your nails
mud caking to your pants
rocks scuffing up the tips of your shoes
screams run through the air
defying the volume made by the voice of man
following, ruffling inside,
coming through the shrubs
the howls call after,
the howls you're running from
the inevitability chasing after you
the furred monster,
bringing unprecedented dread
as it's feet clunk up behind you
gasping for one last breath
before the monster takes it away.

Ew, an emo poem...

I think
I put too much faith
in humanity
thinking they can be there for you
when they won’t
thinking they won’t make the same mistakes
when they will
thinking that one day you can rely on them
which will never happen
it never will
there will always be people letting you down
I guess
it’s really just how you deal with it
do you sit around and let them
or do you go out and forget it
either way
it will find it’s way back
to rip you in half
all at once.

[Slowly]

How tenderly I
touch your cheek,
[as my lips]
for such divine beauty
[slowly]
can only be brushed
with a graceful movement
[press against yours]

A Three-Lined Poem- Alluring Jumble

Alluring Jumble

The sweet alluring smell
Throws my heart
Into a jumble.
